To regenerate the egg, simply remove from holder and place in the microwave on medium heat for approx. 10 minutes. USE CAUTION - EGG WILL BE HOT! HOW IT WORKS:

I bought four of these, so I wouldnt have to keep on replacing the damp rid containers! The egg itself is beautiful, but snaps into a cheap plastic holder that can come apart if your to rough on it or melt if you dont wait for it to cool...guilty, I wanted to see the fabric like indicator turn from pink time to heat in microwave to back to blue dry. There is a removable plug at the bottom, the silica gel doesnt seem to change when indicated its like little pearls. Its not like the silica gel I have for my plants.
Hard to say on effectiveness, if they werent so pricy Id buy more and replace all the damp rid containers!
