Just soak the Neck Chilly until the crystals expand. Now you have a total body cooler. Tie it around your neck and it cools the blood as it moves through your whole body. When you're done wearing it, hang it over a towel bar or put on a counter.

You can soak and hand wash it gently with mild soap and hang it to air dry. If you don't use it for a few days the crystals will dry out to their original state (hard crystal form) and then can be rehydrated and used again and again.... I had mine for years before I needed another.

Use it for hiking, gardening, rafting, crafting, watching TV, BBQ'ing, having hot flashes, well, you name it! Can be reused over and over.

  Frustrating
     It takes a LOT longer than 20 minutes for these things to swell up. I tried two of them and it took ALL day and then I had to squeeze them to distribute the beads throughout the length of the wrap. They also dont stay cool but just a few minutes. Several years ago, I bought a different brand that works much better, swells up quickly and stays cooler much longer. It only came in black so I bought these because they were blue. I wouldnt buy them again.

     I keep in my car too Ive gotten a lot of use out of these.

  Kinda cool ... BUT
     I bought these to share with several guy-friends who, primarily, work outdoors doing construction and yard work. The guys reported that the Chilly worked great, at first, BUT they soon had no cooling power. Basically, youd have to use so many of them it was hardly worth the expense.

  Cool ... but
     I purchased a 10-pack to share with several friends who often work outdoors -- doing construction/lawn work. All recipients said they really appreciated the gift. They said it worked really well, in Mississippi summer heat, BUT burned out after several uses. It would be appreciated if the ad included an indication of how many times the Neck Chilly can be re-used.

  A life saver
     I got these back in March and have been using mine all summer long. Working construction its hotter than you can imagine, this keeps me cooler. Still not like air conditional, but it helps ALOT

     Having a son in a 120 degree war zone I would do what ever I could do to ease their days.I sent 2 packs of 10 neck chillies and was thrilled to hear thanks from many soldiers. I just wish I could afford to send a hundred more! They deserve it!

  My whole family loves these
     I bought these last year and still use them. Actually the whole family does. My sons play baseball and I dont know how we all wouldve gotten thru the season without them. Most of the moms on the team have since come to the site and bought. Hey Pulse, can I get a commission :

  Neck Chilly
     I used these while attending my granddaughters golf tournaments this summer. Before putting them in the water, just be sure to adjust the beads along the tube. Most of my scarves had all the beads accumulated in one spot. I used one around my neck and then added one around my forehead when the temp got over 90 degrees.

     This item is nothing like I expected it to be. Not useful to me at all. I guess the old adage is true you get what you pay for.

     This was not able to keep me cool all day long BUT, I am talking about during the heat wave/drought in MO in June & July 2012. I put a couple in the freezer after soaking them. Sent my housemate who works in an UN AIRCONDITIONED warehouse and walks a mile cross country after he gets off the bus. Said he was sure he would get FROST BITE when he lst put it on walking for the bus. Changed his mind by the time the bus arrived. He took a couple extra with him in a ziplock bag, I bought 10! to keep in the freezer at work with a VERY large sign about what would happen if he found 1 missing !!! We have a convert. Put the one he had on in the freezer at work and took out a fresh one for the past midnight ride home. It was only 93 degrees by then. Happy camper. Asked that more be put in the freezer at home, please. !

     Was very excited to have these for little league baseball. What a disappointment. 6 of the 10 swelled up so big, they burst arount their necks. Little jelly beans all over clothes and skin. So embarrassed. Two worked and were good. Must have gotten a bad batch Pulse made good on my purchase. Thanks

     These are great - re-useable, but some of the stitching was out and the granules clump up in the wrong place - but it still works!

     I bought these in hopes that it would help us during the summer heat. A wet head band would have the same effect.

     These scarf-like items hold crystals that, when allowed to soak up water, swell to hold it like a sponge. The tube of crystals is very small so the cooling time is limited, but they are very effective
