Just soak the Neck Chilly until the crystals expand. Now you have a total body cooler. Tie it around your neck and it cools the blood as it moves through your whole body. When you're done wearing it, hang it over a towel bar or put on a counter.
You can soak and hand wash it gently with mild soap and hang it to air dry. If you don't use it for a few days the crystals will dry out to their original state (hard crystal form) and then can be rehydrated and used again and again.... I had mine for years before I needed another.
Use it for hiking, gardening, rafting, crafting, watching TV, BBQ'ing, having hot flashes, well, you name it! Can be reused over and over.

We have used these in Arizona for years. They work well. Once hydrated they last hours. We hang them on a line to dry. Simply redistribute the granules inside and massage as you put into a bowl of water to rehydrate for reuse. They definitely cool us down considerably when bike riding or just going hiking in and sure beat out the alternative of a plain, wet bandanna. We just pour a little water from our cooler over them to renew them during camping or an outting...or even a little from our drinking bottle. Really makes activities more enjoyable.

These are great, cools me off when out working in my yard, trimming bushes, etc. They keep cool for a long time!!

The gel leaks out of the sections that are stitched and one complete section was completely un-stitched. But, the product does work reasonably well.
It drips
A while ago I bought a whole bunch of these. They dont work at all. They warm up quickly and they drip constantly! There is no cooling effect at all. And they tear very easily. Forget about it!

disintegrates easily
I was si excited about this, because I have MS and I cant walk if Ive been in the heat too long. I was really hoping these would live up to their description. If you leave this in the water for half an hour, the crystals just break down. I cant stand over these with a timer when Im in a hurry to get out the door. So even though they are really cheap. You still get what you pay for. Dont waste your hard earned money.

LOVE my Neck Chillies
I have a home-based business, and this means that I may do outdoor events to build my customer base. I ordered two of the four-packs so that I would have them for an event I was doing on the 4th of July. And believe me, in Cumberland County, NC, it is not the temperature alone that you have to watch for, it is the humidity, because that will drive the heat index into the triple digits quite easily. I stayed cool from 8AM to 6PM using my neck chillies. I kept the ones I was not wearing in the cooler, in ziploc bags with water on them. There were two of us working my tent at this event, so that was four sets. The first set went dry in about an hour, but that was because we were setting everything up and our body heat was higher. But I would DEFINITELY recommend these to anyone who has to be outside in this heat.
